Vitus marketing manager Chris McGlinchey has accomplished the incredible feat of being selected to ride in the Tour de Yorkshire while holding down his full-time job.
The pro rider, who will join the Vitus Pro Cycling Powered by Brother UK team at this weekend’s famous race, stopped by for a chat with Chain Reaction Cycles’ Matt Cole to talk about his selection and how he fits a gruelling training schedule around his work.
The former MTB racer from Northern Ireland, who’ll be competing against stars like Mark Cavendish, Chris Froome, and Marcel Kittel at the race, told us how his trail experience informs his road racing style and the benefits of training platforms like Zwift.
Chris also revealed details about his bike, the new Vitus ZX-1, which will be sporting the new SRAM Red eTap AXS drivetrain during this weekend’s international competition.
This video was filmed for Facebook Live and commences at the 3:10 mark.
