First Look: 2021 Ragley Mountain Bikes

Ragley have launched their 2021 range of mountain bikes which includes updates to their popular Big Wig, Blue Pig and Piglet hardtails.

The 2021 line-up is quite simply Ragley doing what Ragley does best; building bikes with great specs which are a blast to ride.

Featuring 11 bikes all with Shimano drivetrains and brakes, each of the models come tubeless ready and only need to be fitted with valves and your choice of sealant before they’re ready to roll. The steel bikes are also fitted with four-piston calipers and all the bikes except the Trig gravel bike are sporting Maxxis 3C EXO+ casing tyres.

For the taller riders among us, you’ll be pleased to know that all the large and extra large bikes now have 170mm drop seatposts.

Let’s deep dive on the full range to help you find your perfect Ragley match!

Ragley Big Al 2021

Starting with the Big Al, this bike is a popular choice as it perfectly balances geometry and spec with a lighter alloy frame.

What’s new for 2021 on this bike is the introduction of the Big Al 1.0 which features a dropper post, 11-speed drivetrain and a Marzocchi Bomber Z2 fork. The Big Al 2.0 features a Rockshox Recon fork and a 10-speed drivetrain.

Ragley Big Wig 2021

Next up is the Big Wig; an enduro ready hardtail and the only steel Ragley with 29” wheels.

The standard Big Wig comes with a 140mm RockShox Revelation whereas the Race spec features a fork travel of 160mm making it more gravity focused. Both bikes have 12-speed groupsets, four-piston brakes and are fitted with new Nukeproof wheelsets; the standard spec is fitted with the Nukeproof Neutrons and the Race spec is fitted with the Nukeproof Horizons.

Ragley Blue Pig 2021

The Blue Pig has been a favourite among hardtail lovers since 2009. Featuring 27.5” wheels, the Blue Pig’s specs mirror those of the Big Wig; a 12-speed drivetrain, four-piston brakes and new Nukeproof Horizon and Neutron wheelsets.

The Blue Pig and the Race spec feature Rockshox forks with 150mm of travel for the standard and a 160mm for the Race spec.

Ragley Piglet 2021

Although a steel bike, the Piglet has a trail riding bias due to its shorter 140mm fork. Rolling on Nukeproof Neutron wheels and featuring four-piston brakes from Shimano, the Piglet is a perfect all rounder for those epic days on the trails.

Ragley Mmmbop 2021

Mmmbop is the alloy twin of the Blue Pig with the same geometry, travel and wheel size. The 2021 model however features upgrades to a full Shimano Deore groupset, new Nukeproof wheels and a Marzocchi Bomber Z2 Rail.

The frame-only of the option Mmmbop is available in a Glitter Blue colour.

Ragley Marley 2021

The Marley is Ragley’s ultimate underdog bike. You get a lot of bike for your buck on this one with no-nonsense specs making this bike ready to eat up the trails.

With 27.5” wheels and a 130mm fork this bike is sure to perform. The Marley 1.0 features an 11-speed groupset whereas the Marley 2.0 sports a 10-speed drivetrain. No matter which you have your eye on, this bike will exceed expectations on your local trails!

Ragley Trig 2021

Finally the Trig gravel bike is available as a complete bike package with 650b wheels, a full Shimano GRX drivetrain and is rolling on wide WTB tubeless ready rims and tyres.

This bike is a versatile and fun ride which you can customise by fitting a dropper post, fenders or racks to make this bike ready for everything you have to throw at it.
