Adidas Five Ten have released a Primeblue version of their Freerider and Freerider Pro MTB shoes, which use Parley recycled plastic.
Offering the same performance as the classic versions, the Primeblue shoes bring a drive for environmental sustainability to the trails using ocean plastic waste. Kinder to the environment but still offering superb flat pedal performance, they’re sure to be an instant hit.
What is Primeblue?
Primeblue is a high-performance recycled material made in part with Parley Ocean Plastic, created using upcycled plastic waste. This plastic waste is intercepted on beaches, coastal communities and shorelines, preventing it from polluting our oceans.
Tackling plastic waste is a vitally important environmental issue and since 2012 adidas have been pushing to remove the use of virgin plastics in sportswear, Adidas Primeblue is the result with 50% of the upper being textile, 75% of the textile being Primeblue yarn and no use of virgin polyester.
