Vitus’ new Energie Carbon range of CX weapons will be diamonds in the mud when they hit the racing scene this season.
With a full-carbon High-Modulus T700 frame, the bike’s increased stiffness and mud clearance is sure to make it a monster in competitive CX meetings.
The HM-UD Carbon construction provides superior strength to weight, with full internal cable routing to prevent damage during the muddiest of events or training rides. The hidden cabling also makes it an easier carry when shouldering it up muddy inclines.
There are three models in the range – the Vitus Energie CRX eTap, Vitus Energie CRX, and Vitus Energie CR.
The CRX eTap is the star buy, with a race-ready single ring set-up built around the new SRAM Force eTap AXS groupset. With a revolutionary gear ratio and precise electronic shifting, it ensures you are always in the right gear when you need it most. Its race ratio cassette (10-33t) combines with a 38t single chainring and Force HRD disc brakes. And it comes with a tubeless-ready 38mm Prime BlackEdition Carbon Disc wheelset paired with Vee XCX TLR tyres and Zipp Service Course finishing kit.
Next up is the impressive Energie CRX, featuring a single ring set-up built around the SRAM Force 1 HRD groupset. This is made up of an 11-32t cassette and single ring X-SYNC 40t chainring with Force hydraulic disc brakes. Its tubeless-ready Prime Pro Alloy Disc wheelset is paired with same tyres and finishing kit as the CRX eTap.
The big value option is the CR, sporting a still pretty beastly SRAM Rival 1 HRD groupset, single ring X-SYNC 40t chainring, and Rival hydraulic disc brakes. A tubeless compatible Alex CXD22 / Novatec CX specific wheelset and Vitus finishing kit complete the package.
