SRAM have released details of RED eTAP AXS, an updated version of their super popular wireless road groupset which has been created to excel on the varied terrain – from tarmac to gravel – that road riders are now taking on.
SRAM RED eTAP AXS (pronounced ‘access’) promises to take eTAP wireless to the next level with a quieter, smoother and more secure ride than ever before.
You’re also able to control, personalise and monitor your components via the new SRAM AXS app.
SRAM RED eTAP AXS will be available from Chain Reaction Cycles very soon – but for now, here are some more details…
Here’s a video showing all the technology packed into the system:
SRAM have overhauled the complete shifting system on eTAP AXS, taking this high performance groupset to the next level of quality and reliability.
At the heart of SRAM eTAP AXS is a completely new drivetrain with X-Range gearing, offering a wider more progressive gear range than traditional gearing.
SRAM eTAP AXS derailleurs
The derailleurs have been tweaked and tuned to shift faster, smoother, quieter and more precisely.
The SRAM RED eTAP AXS rear derailleur is AXS enabled for easy personalisation via the app and designed for both 1x and 2x systems.
The derailleur also comes with faster pulleys, bearings, motors and signals, improving speed in every way.
SRAM RED eTAP AXS Flattop Chain
The plates on SRAM’s new Flattop chain are thinner, which means less material. To maintain strength the material is added to the top of the chain plate making it the company’s strongest, and longest lasting chain they’ve ever made.
For power-hungry riders there’s also a one piece crankset with integrated power, offering left and right leg measurements.
