Gatorade are the official supplier of sports nutrition to British Cycling and the GB cycling team and the deal will see the sports nutrition giant supplying the event with energy and recovery products on all three distances of this exciting new sportive, which explores some of the toughest and most beautiful roads in North Wales this June.
The Etape Eryri route could not be more spectacular, with three distance options on offer:
Etape Bach 47 – The shortest of the 3 routes at 47 miles, but don't be deceived, this will be among the most gorgeous and challenging 47 miles you will ever ride.
Etape Canol 76 – 76 miles, with some mega climbs to get your legs and your lungs burning. Equally as beautiful but a little bit tougher than the Etape Bach.
Etape Mawr 103 – A monster 103 miles of awesome tarmac on climbs you never believed that you could ride. Set to become an instant classic!
Tim Lloyd, co-director of Always Aim High Events states:
"The Etape Eryri is another of our new events this year and we are confident that this sportive will be one of the most challenging of 2012. We have some very exciting news and announcements to release over the coming weeks and adding Gatorade as our nutritional partner is just one of those announcements. We are extremely pleased to have added such a prestigious brand to our growing line-up of supporters and backers for these events and feel that the package we are putting together for participants of the Etape Eryri will be amongst the best on the UK calendar.
"We are making every effort to offer a great value event, consequently the Etape Eryri entry fees will be just £27 for the Bach, £31 for the Canol and £35 for the Mawr, this includes electronic chip timing, numerous feed stations on route, refreshments at the finish, loads of awesome spot prizes and a fantastic event goody bag for all participants. As well as this there will be plenty to see and do in order to keep spectators entertained in Caernarfon whilst the ride is taking place".
2012 has also seen Always Aim High Events recruit Chain Reaction Cycles as their official retail partner of their Triathlon Series – which includes the Snowdonia Slateman and the Anglesey Sandman, and new-for-2012 Snowman Triathlon, along with the Etape Eryri.
Grant Norris, Events Manager at Chain Reaction Cycles states:
"The Etape Eryri is really coming together from our point of view. It's great to be part of what we feel will be one of the UK's premier cycle sportives in the years to come and we will be working very closely with the Always Aim High Events team over the coming months to ensure that the event is a great success. At Chain Reaction Cycles we are committed to all of the events we support, at the Etape Eryri we will have our full marketing presence and participants and supporters can expect a day to remember."
