The third round of the of the CRC MTB Marathon Series powered by Mercedes-Benz Vito Sport takes place this weekend (14-15th July) in Marshbrook, Shropshire. Saturday will be all about riding the challenging road sportives while Sunday is all about exploring the dirt!

Hosting the Marshbrook round for another year, the Shropshire Hills Mountain Bike and Outdoor Pursuit Centre (postcode: SY6 6QE – next to The Station Inn – will provide the Marathon and Sportive HQ and the event venue and campground (just a couple hundred yards apart) will be clearly signposted. If you are camping please go to the camp ground first and find yourself a pitch before making your way to registration.

Course and weather
Course designer John Lloyd will be out on course over the next few days and will try to adjust sections which might have been affected by the bad weather of late. The camping and event venue field are draining well and should hold up fine. We will again do our best to ease the pressure on key areas so that getting on and off site should not be a big problem. Please try to avoid moving your vehicle once parked up till you are leaving the event to minimise impact on the access routes. Thanks!

The road sportives take place on Saturday with an open start from 8.30 – 9.30am from the event village. The MTB marathons will take place on Sunday and will get going with a mass start from the event village at 10am. For other details on the Marshbrook round please click here (MTB) and here (ROAD).
