First look: Suunto Ambit GPS watch
Remember the days when having a calculator on your watch was futuristic (‘cool’ even!)? Things have changed a bit since then…

It’s a bit unfair to call the Suunto Ambit just a watch, because this thing packs a serious punch for runners, riders, hikers and other hardcore explorers. A full-featured GPS with waypoint and route navigation, 3D compass, barometer, temperature readout and global/local GPS grids are just some of the functions on offer.

To see the Ambit in action and to get an idea of the features it packs into such a robust little package, watch this video now:

The Suunto Ambit has already received industry recognition, winning the Best in Show Award from GearJunkie.com who called it, "a neat innovation and a sleek design. The Ambit feels like a regular workout watch on the wrist. It has heart-rate functions, speed, pace, elevation, distance, temperature, compass, all clock/alarm features, plus tracking functions with GPS."
