Team CRC/Nukeproof head into the final round of the Rocky Roads UCI Mountain Bike Downhill World Cup this weekend in Hafjell, Norway, excited at the prospect of racing at this brand new venue.

Team Manager Nigel Page said: “Matti Lehikoinen has raced in Hafjell before and says it’s a great track. There have been quite a lot of pictures and videos of the course online in the media and it looks like a great track with varied terrain, from big jumps to steep rocky wooded sections.”

Unfortunately Lewis Buchanan is recovering from his apendicitis operation, so won't be racing this weekend but Al Bond and Matti Lehikoinen want to finish the season off on a high and Joe Smith and Matt Simmonds want to improve on their overall World Cup rankings, where Matt is currently lying in 16th place and Joe Smith 20th!

If Matt can get a good result he could move up into the top 15 for the overall and Joe in the top 20. This would be a great achievement for them both and the team.

Keep checking for updates and news on how the team is getting on later in the week and on Saturday for the race.
