Red Bull Ride the Palace indoor downhill race this weekend
Never ones to stick to convention, Red Bull are staging a unique downhill mountain bike race this weekend (3-4 November) in the Bulgarian capital Sofia, with riders racing within the confines of the National Palace of Culture building.

A mix of Bulgarian downhill riders and invited international stars including Team CRC/Nukeproof’s Matti Lehikoinen and fellow Red Bull athlete Filip Polc will leave the start ramp on the eighth floor of the conference venue, riding through the building in a race against time and each other.

Rock-drops, berms, roots and wild lines will be replaced with huge drop downs, semi-floor constructions, narrow corridors, stairs and elevators.

60 riders will take part in qualification on Saturday with 30 riders qualifying for the final on Sunday. Stay tuned – we’ll bring you updates throughout the weekend!
