Whilst the rest of the UK has been battling some unseasonal weather, the north west of Scotland has enjoyed an unusually dry period. No Fuss Events, supported by Chain Reaction Cycles have been planning for the Lord/Lady of the Lochs Sportive – a new event which will take part on September 30th. With an amazing route which starts from Fort William the Outdoor capital of the UK, the course winds its way towards Glen Uig with spectacular sea views to the islands of Eigg, Rhum and Muck. After a stiff climb thru Glen Uig we descend into Moidart and run along side Loch Moidart past the ‘Seven Men of Moidart’ beech trees planted to commemorate 7 men from the area who went to Glenfinnan to raise the standard and to the village of Acharacle, from here it is the magnificent return leg back to Fort William under the shadow of Ben Nevis.
Frazer Coupland from partner at No Fuss said " We are excited about this our second sportive, the route is exceptional, no one will be disappointed, we are looking forward to working with Chain Reaction Cycles on this. Highland hospitality and great craic in abundance see you in September"
Grant Norris, Events Manager at CRC 'We've had a great inaugeral Vitus Sportive Series in 2012 and the Lord of the Lochs is sure to be the icing on the cake. As the final round this year we're delighted to partner with No Fuss Events to stage a sportive with an incredible backdrop. The highlands of Scotland around Fort William are just breathtaking – and I'm really looking forwad to this great event. Here's to the hills being alive with the sound of cyclists!'
