The Quebrantahuesos Triathlon takes place this weekend (August 4th/ 5th) in the picturesque village of Sallent de Gállego at the head of the Tena Valley on the Spanish/French boarder.

The area is close to the Pyrenees National Park and with recent upgrades to the road network, access from Madrid, Barcelona, Bilbai and San Sabastian is easy. With a fantatsic entry for the event we're certain that the Spanish sunshine and amazing scenery will provide an unmissable event. Our Events Team have arrived on-site today and are ready to greet all of the athletes ahead of Saturdays race briefing from organisers OCTAGON Management. With a fully serviced race weekend, athletes will be taken by transfer from the village of Sallent de Gállego to complete a 950m swim in the Embalse de Lanuza before heading out on a 81km bike route which will take them through Escarilla, Hoz de Jaca. Cotefablo and Linas de Broto.
This especially selected route will take in some amazing climbs, fast descents and unique scenery in the Spanish countryside.
Stayed tuned across the weekend for photo updates and race results. More information is available at the event website
