The Dew Tour action sports and lifestyle festival stopped off in San Francisco, California, over the weekend where the leading BMX and skateboard riders of the world converged to throw down their best skills in front of some massive crowds.
Kyle Baldock stole the show during the BMX Dirt Best Trick competition, pulling out a move that’s never been seen before – a frontflip cliffhanger! To see how insane it was, watch this video now:
James Foster came a close second with a bar-to-bar back to downside whip, while Colton Satterfield’s barspin to tailwhip backflip secured him third place and a tidy $1,000.
Garrett Reynolds showed his class on both the street courses – beating Chad Kerley (second) and Bruno Hoffman (third) in the BMX Street finals and pipping Dennis Enarson and Scotty Cranmer to the top spot in the Streetstyle BMX comp.
Highlights in Reynolds’ runs included a huge 360 bar-to-bar down the nine stair as a well as a nollie 180 barspin. He also managed a crazy rail ride to tailwhip out and a 180 barspin to backward crooked grind down one of the many rails on the course.
Watch Garrett’s winning run now:
Ryan Nyquist smashed the opposition in the BMX Dirt finals, leaving his best run to last and pulling together a backflip double barspin, 450 truckdriver and a jaw-dropping 720 barspin on the final set. Nyquist said: “Going into finals I knew that I had to step it up completely and that is what I did.”
TJ Ellis took second place (89.19 points) with his repertoire of multiple frontflip tailwhips, backflip supermans and a huge backflip tuck no-hander. Colton Satterfield finished a very close third (89.13 points), sending it with an alley-oop 360 double tailwhip, a backflip barspin to late tailwhip and a 360 downside whip-to-whip back.
