Team CRC BMX rider Dan Lacey owned the BMX Street Session at last weekend’s Dew Tour Beach Championships in Ocean City, Maryland, winning the overall title and bagging the Best Trick award in the process!
Lacey was up against a stacked field for the 30-minute jam, on a course which was made up of a nine-stair set with a hubba on each side as well as a rail down the centre with riders allowed to go either up or down the set. It’s on this rail that Dan smashed out the trick of the day with a backward grind to over toothpick down the rail.
Watch the highlights of the BMX Street Session now:
Sean Sexton took second ahead of Chad Kerley in third.
Dan was happy with the win, saying: "I’m so stoked! The jam format was ideal for everyone, just dropping in one after another and feeding off of each other. It’s not too often that you get to go to a contest and just work on a rail set up for a half an hour or so."
